Title: Re: [Condor-users] Condor and Matlab
Actually, that is not needed with the startd_cron (Hawkeye) method, as the startd_cron job sends lines to stdout like:
name1 = val1
name2 = val2
.
And the name/value pairs are automatically added into the Machine’s ClassAd. Very slick! I’m sorry if I didn’t make it clear that startd_cron implied ‘hawkeye’ ;)

Don't forget to include MYCO_MATLAB in the STARTD_EXPRS line
(see slides in my previous posting) !

We use the startd cron feature to ‘discover’ installed software of interest and then publish as a machine ClassAd attribute, for example MYCO_MATLAB = “Ver_1.2.3” or some such.
Then in your job submit file just add Requirements = ... (MYCO_MATLAB == “Ver_1.2.3”)

Hi All,
Is there a way to specify in the job requirements that the execute node must have specific binaries installed e.g. matlab ?
Thanks,
