- Subject: [Condor-users] OSX SMP Woes
Hi,
We recently installed condor on an SuSE Linux SMP x86_64 box (the
master) and two dual OSX G5s. Jobs will execute on the G5's but the
scheduler rarely uses both CPUs. It also seems to be confused about
what portion of the load is attributable to Condor. For example, in
the condor_status output snippet below Condor reports that the VMs
running condor processes are generating no load at all while the non-
condor load is quite high. Running top on these machines shows that
the condor process is responsible for the reported load and the
machines are otherwise idle.

We're running Condor 6.6.10 on the AMD and PPC boxes. The Macs run
OSX 10.4.4 with all patches applied. The Linux box runs SuSE 9.3
with the 2.6.11.4-21.8-smp kernel.
Any ideas about how to get the Macs to use both CPUs?
Thanks,
Chance
