Sameer,
I used the inverted commas to highlight the full-stop. I meant to use
Arguments = .
without the inverted commas.
This is standard directory notation on both Windows and Unix for the current directory.
 
For testing outside of Condor, try changing to directory y:\Simtest:
Y:
cd Simtest
 
and retrying
test.exe .

Hi Phil & Zach,
 
i tried executing with arguments = "." However i get an error in the error file "Abnormal Program termination.
 
I have also tried to run the executable directly on windows in the database directory with the following command:
 
y:\Simtest\test.exe .
 
Note: All the input files are also in the directory Simtest. I get the same error in this case also: abnormal program termination.
 
However the program runs fine with the follwoing command:
y:\Simtest\test.exe y:\Simtest
 
I am wondering how i cud specify the directory name where the files are transferred when using condor in this manner in the submit file to execute it properly.

However the output file is still empty. The executable produces an output text file. I dont know whether i should be transferring that back or should i be specifying an output file in the submit file like i have done.

Hi,
 
I have a windows executable which takes as argument the name of the directory which contains the input files and produces as output a text file in the same directory. I am trying to execute this using condor. My condor pool has a linux machine as central manager while all the execution nodes are windows based.
 
I initially tried to execute with the following submit file:

environment = path=/home/fyp19wt/Simtest

WhenToTransferOutput = ON_EXIT

log = /home/fyp19wt/Simtest/test.log

However in the output file instead of getting the output i got the following message:
Usage: condor_exec.exe <database directory>
 
I then tried to specify the name of the directory which initially contains the input files on the central manager as an argument. the new submit file looked as follows:

With this as the submit file, there is no output produced. The output.txt file is empty.
 
Can someone please help me with this. Any help would be much appreciated. How should i specify the submit file so that the execution machine looks for the input files at the correct place. I do not know how to specify the name of the directory which contains all the input files after transfer. The executable requires this as an argument to execute.
