Submitting Job
How do you run the daemons as root? Mine
list as user daemon and I was told that they would switch to root when they
activate. I want to run them as root.
Thanks, I will try that install location. I
am playing with this master node to find the best method before I move onto
the other nodes, so any advice that you can give would be
appreciated.

Well I install condor as user "condor" to
/home/condor
then run the daemons as root.
Then any user submitting jobs needs write
access to the directory where the job
is being written to.

Is there a best way to install condor and
where to put it?
I installed it as the root user and into the
/condor directory. Should I have logged in as the standard user to
install and possibly installed to a preferred location?
I will get that ls -l to you when I
can
Thanks

Problem Submitting Job
I know that I have missed somthing
simple, but I have not been able to find why this is happening with
the log file when I submit one of the example programs as a
standard user. This user has full rights to create files on the
system, but since the processes are supposed to run as root I don't
understand why it gets the permission denied on the log
file.
