please do not just append new knobs to the bottom of param_info.in.

Not only does doing so pretty much guarantee a merge conflict, but if  
you look, you will see that that files is loosely organized into sections.
the bottom of the file is where metaknobs are defined

instead, try to add new knobs near to related knobs.
