Oh, I understand that you need to rebuild your database when migrating
from 6.8 to 7.0, but I find it hard to believe that you can no longer
query a pool that is running a previous version.  I could maybe accept
that querying the rdbms directly would fail, but the fact that you
can't query the quilld either seems to be an incredible design flaw.

I would really like someone to explain why querying the quilld isn't
backward compatible.  Isn't the purpose of the quilld to provide some
level of abstraction between querying condor vs querying the database?
Why does changing the database schema break querying the quilld?
