Dan, Thanks a lot, but I still don't resolve it.
There are two new lines after "make PROTOCOL=SMOI_SMP_bcast DESTINATION=SMOI_SMP_bcast"

what does it mean?

Try printing to stderr instead of stdout. Or better yet, put an
'assert(0)' at the beginning of the function.
