Subject: | [Gems-users] 2-SPARC serengeti system using simicsFS to transfer data between the simulated OS and local directory |
Hi everyone: I am a new user of simics+GEMS. I have successfully installed a solaris 10 OS (target serengeti abisko ) on simics. And I also used simicsFS to mount local directory to the simulated 1-SPARC solaris OS. However, now I wanna simulate a multicprocessor systems(2 SPARC). There is problem to mount the local directory to the simulated solaris. I used simics -x SIMICS/target/serengeti/abisko-sol10-multi.simics to start a 2-SPARC system. There are 2 OS started(2 xterms). I also created the iso using new-file-cdrom XXX.iso. However, there is no cdX.insert iso command to use(there is a command cd0.insert iso in the 1-SPARC case). So I can't transfer the local data to the simulated OS. Can anyone help me on this ? Thanks I noticed that, in GEMS-ubuntu.pdf, the authors used simics-2.X to install a 4-SPARC sarek system. However, the corresponding files can't be found in simics 3.0.31. So is there a way to start a 2-SPARC serengeti system and allowing the transfering of data between the simulated OS and local directory by simicsFS? Thanks a lot Best Xiaohang |
