Hi Mike, Re: STCs: Simics's STCs are internal parts of Simics that interfere with Ruby's operation, so they need to be disabled before loading Ruby. The contents of the STC are flushed. Re: g_NUM_PROCESSORS: g_NUM_PROCESSORS is an internal Ruby parameter. Simics operates a number of processes specified by the machine definition/checkpoint. Ruby must know how many processors are in that checkpoint, and the user informs Ruby by setting g_NUM_PROCESSORS appropriately. I would not recommend setting g_NUM_PROCESSORS to a number different from the number of processors in Simics's target machine. Regards, Dan 2009/7/7 junghun lee <ijij41@xxxxxxxxx>
