Subject: | [Gems-users] What dose "istcdisable" command means? |
Hi... I'm mike
Using simics and gems, I have some question..
I saw "istcdisable" command.. For example.. simics > istcdisable Referring related document, I have known that this mean it disable default I-Cache which be at simics and flush exiting old data. So, where does these old data go??? To ruby's clean cache?? or expired ???
If old data is flushed to ruby's cache and ruby's cache hierarchy is different from simics's default cache hierarchy, what about? It's fine??? I thought that if cache hierarchy of simics and ruby, it is likely to make problem.
Is my think right?
And another question is Ruby use g_NUM_PROCESSORS parameter. This parameter could set the number of processor. By the way, simics also can set the number of processor. So, if the number of processor is different in two case, is it fine? My question is that if I use 4 processor at ruby, Do I have to set 4 processor at the front of simics???
Please, help me... I would appreciate your help
