i need to use GEMS for my work and dont know anything about this.
I have downloaded the "

Multifacet GEMS Release 2.1 (2/28/2008): gems-release2.1.tar.gz (1850582 bytes - 2.1MB)"

from http://www.cs.wisc.edu/gems/distribute/

but i am clueless how to proceed next.
