Hi Dan,
Yes I ran the configure script as suggested in wiki. The last portion of the
output of that run was following.
checking whether we are using the GNU C++ compiler... yes
checking whether /usr/psr.oit/rhel432/2006-2.0/bin/g++ accepts -g... yes
checking whether /usr/psr.oit/rhel432/2006-2.0/bin/gcc needs -traditional...
no
checking for compiler type... configure: error: Could not determine compiler
version for compiler CC='/usr/psr.oit/rhel432/2006-2.0/bin/gcc'
Does this last error has anything to do with the problem?
Thanks,
Arnab

Subject: Re: [Gems-users] Problem building ruby in GEMS 2.0 with
MOSI_SMP_bcast protocol
Did you run Simics's configure script as suggested in the Setup portion
of the WIKI?

Dan

Hi,
I am trying to build ruby in x86 architecture with GNU/Linux (OS). After
following all the steps of Setup, when I try executing:
$ make PROTOCOL=MOSI_SMP_bcast DESTINATION=MOSI_SMP_bcast
the execution crashes with following error.

I searched the archive. However, I was unlucky to find any match. Can
anyone
suggest what went wrong?
Thanks,
