Subject: [Gems-users] troubles when i made my naked checkpoint
Hello,
I met some troubles when i made my naked checkpoint.
I downloaded the solaris express edition from sun website, and copy the first two iso files to the directory "$SIMICS_DIR/import/serengeti"
I modify the system.conf as follows:

#!/bin/bash

NAKED_CHECKPOINT_FAMILY_NAME=serengeti

NAKED_CHECKPOINT_DIR=/root/software/gems-2.1-simics-2.2.19/simics-2.2.19/import/serengeti/

NAKED_CHECKPOINT_COMMON_FILE=naked-common.simics

NAKED_CHECKPOINT_RUN_FILE=naked-run.simics

TARGET_CPU_FREQ_MHZ=75

TARGET_MAIN_DISK_SIZE_BYTES=8513945600
TARGET_MAIN_DISK_CYLINDERS=10940
TARGET_MAIN_DISK_HEADS=19
TARGET_MAIN_DISK_TRACKS=80

TARGET_ETHERNET_ADDRESS=10:10:10:10:10:24

TARGET_NI_IP_ADDRESS=192.168.0.11

TARGET_NETMASK=255.255.255.0

TARGET_HOSTNAME=insomnia

TARGET_ROUTER_IP_ADDRESS=192.168.0.1

OS_NAME=SolarisExpress

OS_INSTALL_CD_1=/root/software/gems-2.1-simics-2.2.19/simics-2.2.19/import/serengeti/sol-nv-b79b-sparc-v1.iso
OS_INSTALL_CD_2=/root/software/gems-2.1-simics-2.2.19/simics-2.2.19/import/serengeti/sol-nv-b79b-sparc-v2.iso

OS_AUTO_PROMPT=true

OS_LANGUAGE=1

SIMICS_VERSION=2.2.19

SIMICS_DIR=/root/software/gems-2.1-simics-2.2.19/simics-2.2.19

SIMICS_MEMORY_LAYOUT=Greedy

SIMICS_HOST_MACHINE_TYPE=x86-linux

But when i began to run it, some problem happenned:
when
Attempting to configure interface hme0...
it said that
[hme0 info] Dropping packet, not connected to network. (Will not warn again)
***  Simics getting shaky, switching to 'safe' mode.
Simics (main thread) received a segmentation fault. Will try to recuperate.
Starting command line. (May have skipped commands in script files.)

and break!
