[Gems-users] Ruby sparc->x86 patch and GEMS 1.4

I would like to do Simics3.0.x+Ruby (GEMS1.4) with sparc-to-x86 
conversion patch below:
   /Ruby Sparc->x86 Conversion Patch 0.4 BETA README (10/26/2005):

I believe the above [1] was initially for GEMS1.1 release (Simics 2.x).  
With Simics3.0.27, I've tried to follow the instructions in README file 
above, but don't have any clue on what to do with the following as I 
couldn't find modules.list-local file.
   2. Add the following line to $GEMS/simics/config/modules.list-local:
   ruby | API_2.0 | x86

   DO NOT add:
   ruby | API_2.0 | v9

Have anyone tired this patch to GEMS1.4?   Can anyone share 
GEMS1.4-specific instructions for the Ruby x86 patch?
