No, load-caches simply replays a trace of Loads and Stores from the
cache file. This way, Ruby can in fact change during warmup and
workload runs. Something else must be wrong.

Hello,
I followed the steps to warmup ruby, create a checkpoint and save
caches. The next time, without changing ruby module, I could
load-caches and continue to run the checkpoint. However, if I modifed
and recompiled ruby after the warmup, the load-caches doesn't work. Is
it mandatory to keep ruby module unchanged during the warmup and
workload-running stages?
Thanks,
