[Gems-users] moesi_cmp_directory token protocol?

Hi,

When I look at the L2 cache controller of
MOESI_CMP_directory, I see that the machine is defined
to use token protocol: machine(L2Cache, "Token
protocol"). Why is that necessary? When I change the
"Token protocol" to "Directory protocol", the variable
L1RequestToL2Cache becomes unrecognized. This variable
is defined in the token protocol. What token protocol
functionalities does MOESI_CMP_directory use? Would it
not work as a directory protocol?
