What are you doing to produce the error? Is it a build error? If so, can you provide the build output?

Hello,

I get the same error as others in the mailing list:
version `GCC_4.2.0' not found (required by /usr/lib/libstdc++.so.6)

I tried several ways according to those solutions but cannot figure this out.
Here are methods I did:
1.I am using gcc-3.3.6 under ubuntu 6.10
2.I did make clean for both Ruby and Opal, and Slicc.
3.I did del the ruby.so file
4. I copied missing libraries (I don't have the environmental variable LD_LIBRARY_PATH set) to /usr/lib: libsimics-common.so and libelf.so.0 (from Robert Guziolowski’s post)

But no magic again… Am I doing something wrong or should I try GCC 4.2.0? I knew there are guys doing successfully with gcc 3.3.6

Thanks in advance.
