[Gems-users] Changes not visible after recompilation

Hi,
Maybe there is something trivial, I am missing. I added an extra printf statement in the function printStats() in file ruby/profiler/CacheProfiler.C and after doing cleaning, recompiled everything but after recompilation, I was hoping that 
ruby0.dump-stats would show my changes but I don;t see anything new. I would very much appreciate if someone could give me some insight in this.
