[Gems-users] Adding stats to ruby

Hi,
          I would like to add some statistics in the MOESI_CMP_NUCA
protocol - for example I want to track the number of messages sent
from L1 to each of the L2 banks. Should I be adding code in protocol
directory - files specific to MOESI_CMP_NUCA? Does this approach seem
ok? Or do I need to modify some other files?
          I appreciate all your help.
