[Gems-users] Opal load fails

Hi,
I get the following error when I try to load Opal module: 
simics> load-module opal
Error loading module 'opal': Failed to load module 'opal'
($GEMS/simics_3_workspace/x86-linux/lib/opal.so'): "undefined symbol:
initvar_dispatch_set"

I could load Ruby without any problem. I booted Solaris 9 on a single processor abisko.

Is this a gcc problem? I am using gcc 4.0.2 and I don't have root access to the target machine.
