Also, if you've moved anything around, things tend to get confused.    
Make sure you rerun the configure script on simics (with the proper  
compiler values).  I use simics 2.2, but I know with that, I can't  
think of how many hours I've wasted just to figure out that the  
configure script needs to be run again.
