HPC Cluster maintenance next week (7/30)

Dear CHTC users

This message is for users of our HPC Cluster, logging into spark-login.chtc.wisc.edu. 

We will be performing maintenance on a key network component of the HPC cluster on Thursday, July 30 around 9am. 

Impacts to you: 

• On Thursday, July 30, you will not be able to log in to spark-login between approximately 8 and 11am. 

• Until July 30, new jobs will only start if their indicated runtime will complete before the maintenance window begins. Jobs with longer time requests will wait in the queue with the reason "ReqNodeNotAvail, Reserved for maintenance"

• The file system and cluster nodes will remain up, and queued jobs should continue once the maintenance downtime has completed.
