Partial Outage of the HTC System on Tuesday, Dec 15

This email is in regards to the HTC System. Users of only the HPC Cluster can ignore.

Roughly 1/4 of the HTC System's execute servers will be powered down briefly on Tuesday, December 15, in order to implement some power changes to the datacenter where they're located. While HTC submit servers and other major HTC system components (like the Staging or Squid locations) will remain active, some users may have jobs interrupted when the servers are powered down. Interrupted jobs will be re-queued (to the "Idle" state) to run again on another server, so users will not need to re-queue interrupted jobs.

We will provide notice of any changes to the above plan or anticipated impact to jobs. As always, please send an email to chtc@xxxxxxxxxxx with any questions.
