[HTCondor-users] proposed: no new standard universe ports

	The HTCondor team proposes to make no additional ports of the 
standard universe.  The standard universe will continue to be supported on 
its existing platforms (including, but not limited to, x86-64 RHEL 7 and 
Debian 8), but new operating systems (RHEL 8 and Debian 9, specifically) 
would never become supported.

	If not having standard universe for Debian 9 or future operating 
systems like RHEL 8 would cause you serious problems, please let us know 
as soon as possible.  Thank you.
