[HTCondor-users] Daemon: startup/shutdown hook?

Hi,

is it possible to add a "startup/shutdown hook" for a daemon?
E.g., to let a startd sending a mail, when actually shutting down after
receiving a
> condor_off -startd -graceful -peaceful
