For Standard Universe (checkpointing)? Yes, there is some ongoing 
efforts to look at DMTCP for that. As for other interposition work, 
there are many references on the Condor Project site. You might also 
take a look at Prof Thain's cctools at ND.edu, specifically Parrot.
